Life update

All is going well here. working a lot, enjoying my free time, constantly surprised i live here. I feel like i am a movie set with fake spanish props and spanish dressed people. i have a good friend jess here who is an amazing cook and has inspired me to move towards my goals of opening a healing based clinic. She is training me as a massage therapist. she is a homeopath and we plan to move into together and run the clinic out of the house to start with and see where that takes us. I have plans to go to amsterdam in three weeks for a long weekend we have here and then no major travels planned out til june 2010 when deirdre take off again to a new part of the world. we plan to start in russia, take the trans siberian express, make our way to beijing, hong kong, vietnam, cambodia... possibily take a small detour and get some chinese traditional healing training or maybe some palm reading experience in india... it can be anything. I have recently been connected to a friend´s uncle who is an acupuntcurist in madrid. Just trying to find my strength in the mind.body.soul healing part of this world.

manatee! I am not asking for couch but for time. The
thing is, since I wanted the cheapest flight, I have a
12hour stopover when I am heading back home, in
Washington. So I am more looking for a person who has
time to show me around or simply to have a nice lunch
with me on sunday the 16th of august. I am arriving at
7:30 in the morning and leaving aroundd 7:30 in the
evening (meaning around 5 at the airport again).

Are you free and willing to show me around? Eternal

As for the Bday partita, we will oragnize it for the Gyps.. I will be moving right after the 22nd w/end.
No going away party, no goodbyes and no sadness, only good times and tons of hooka/tequila allowed!

They are playing Rebel Without A Cause tonight at the screen on the green. another sleepy lame movie.

I vote for kayaking+ + + other fun stuff to do on the weekend, instead of going just to the beach + driving for 6 hours.

1)rafa has a point that sunday is a weekend? isn't that when you are going to vabeach lorena?

2)jesus: remember we are all equally cute but my sunglasses really do give me that extra advantage! & I will be there for you thursday.

3)claudia: alex is not a ukranian freek. Isn't freek already implied in the fact that he is ukranian :) i kid... he is very sweet and has great abs!

Friday evenint : Gathering at my house (party, with turntable and everything, I will leave early from work). Ecverybody can stay in my house so we can pool party and paella brunch with DJ on Saturday. Then move to Claudia's pool and then to Lulu, to talk, preparty and go out to DC9 or other clubs

Sunday: Tubing in the river. http://www.riverriders.com/ If rain, we can do this the following week.

Cartagena, Colombia y Florida, USA

I think i got to cartagena around the 23rd of November. I spent a little over a week in bucaramanga and then about two more in cartagena..my most favorite city in the world. I completely lost my mind my last few days in this beautiful place with my very good friend erv and so many other friends that i have made in this great city. This is definitely a place i feel could be home, but it just can't be exactly right now.

We had some crazy nights thats for sure :) wink wink***



here is a video of aura, cristian, and andres. some really cool peeps who took care of me my first days coming back to the city. They are so sweet and i hope we stay in touch. I had the awesome chance to pick erv up from her three month away trip to tahiti, france, the us.... and it was super exciting to see her back home!! she is perfect here and i am glad to have been able to experience that with her.


After my sad sad hung over despedida de cartagena i left to miami with marina's family on the plane with me. Logan is such a sweet guy and i hope i see him and marina soon. I hung out with them til the very last possible minute:) pics of cool peeps of cartagena



In miami i had the amazing luck?? of running into steamy and rodger. two very cool irish dudes that deirdre and i met our first days in Argentina in iguazu falls exactly two months ago . like i always say.. small fuckin world!! We had a great time.. here are pics of that night

COLOMBIA!!

Colombia is beautiful! I have lost my traveling energy and melted right back into home sweet home lounging. Bucaramanga was amazing.I immediately felt like i was home. I met tons of lovely cs peeps, saw family, and shared some great times with old friends. This was definitely a bucaramanga trip i will forever remember and dream of for years to come!! I saw the new parque of chicamocha with some great friends, new and old. We also made a pitstop in san gil, anyone who knows me knows the importance of this city for me! .I always make a point to visit san gil. A beautiful city in santander!! We enjoyed some tasty raspados and obleas ( wafer with caramel-arequipe pa los que saben) too... I love them



.......I spent all of my days with my hermosa prima laurita. She is growing up so fast, i am sad that i don´t get to see her more often thank god for facebook:) I doubted you facebook but now i am hooked. :)lastly I had the amazing opportunity to meet a curandera-partera (natural healer-midwife). She took me under her wing, explained what she was doing to her patients (all women and children), shared so many of her stories and experiences she has had in her 70 years working as a partera, stuck me right in there, and just generally made me feel like i am on the right path in life! damn that sounds intense.. well it is!! :) Life is freekin´amazing when you realize you are living it right now!! not sucked up in the routine, taking our days and feelings for granted:(



I am now in cartagena with Mauricio. He is so sweet! today i woke up to a coffee and breakfast! It´s like these people have known me all of my life. How do they know??? Anyway, I have to go because i can hear the waves crashing at the front door calling for me :) Enjoy my colombian pics.

i got live the tutto letto dream and drink champagne on my overnight trip from peninsula valdes in patagonia all the way to buenos aires.. ahhhh. why can`t i travel for ever?

...... matthew and friends on obama night!! ya!!, alejandra, gonza, and me in montevideo uruguay with me being the darkest i have ever been and looking like a body-builder, then deirdre's dream comes true and we see capibaras in uruguay, tons of them and their babies; and this piled high dish is from colonia, uruguay where chivito rules and we are so happy! Some serious chair dancing in buenos aires with martin in the first video, then the dancing waters in rosario, argentina , and to top it all off with the largest animals in the world from peninsula valdes patagonia, argentina....franca austral vallenas!! whales dude! a mom and her two calfs! all the pics are here if you are interested :) sheesh, that should make up for 10 days of no blogging!

one more day..... can´t wait!
